Hi, I am so frustrated with the SL360 state change function. I have a custom character in several states. If the initial state at the beginning of any slide is other than normal, the normal state will flash briefly before switching to the new state. I thought the whole point of states was to not have to keep placing new images, but that's what I have to do to get this to work. Is there a fix for this?
I appreciate you chiming in to share what you are experiencing with your project file. Our team is aware of an issue: An object flickers when changing the state at the beginning of the timeline. I've added this conversation to our report.
I wanted to share some information on how we define bugs and tackle them when they occur.
The only workaround we have listed at this time is:
Adding layers to the slide and each layer have the desired state
Set the trigger to show the layer instead of changing the state of the object
Thanks for letting me know! This is a pretty significant problem, for me, at least. My workaround will have to be changing the normal state to the desired image. Appreciate the feedback.

I am so glad I found this thread. This workaround did the trick. I am also having issues with this. When will this bug get fixed?
Hi Shannon,
I'm glad to hear that the workaround was helpful for you.
I do not have a timeline to provide on this issue, but I wanted to share some information on how we define bugs and tackle them when they occur.
It's been over a year, and this is still an issue.
