x,y position on return to slide

Hi All,
At last I am back to a project I had to shelve for a while!
I have created a corridor with three doors, you can go from one door to the next using the arrow keys which trigger movement on motion paths. All Works!
Using the up arrow you can enter the different rooms based on a position variable! All Works!
The problem I have is that when you exit the room using the down arrow the graphic is reset to the original start position so I am facing the wrong door. My thinking is:
When timeline starts set x,y graphic position to 0,0 if position = 1;
Changing the x,y if position = 2 and again if position = 3.
My problem is I am unable to see where the trigger to do this is.
Can anyone help?
Thanks
Wendy

Hi Wendy! I'll offer this information on motion paths, specifically relative start points... meaning you should be able to continue motion from where the object last was positioned (instead of resetting to the origin of the path).
It would be helpful to attach your .story file here so we can really dive into your setup. I'd want to know if the doors provoke layers when entered, or jumping to different slides, etc.
Thanks Crystal,
I will give this a go tonight and let you know how I get on.
I have attached the file too.
Sounds good! I'll give your file a peek, too.
Hi again, Wendy. I navigated left and right along the hallway of 3 rooms; really neat idea! I went into the library, and when I came back out, I could see that I was repositioned in the middle and was starting all over. In your slide properties, I changed the "when revisiting" option to "resume saved state," so that when you revisit this slide, it should show where you left off.
This seemed to work when exiting the library; I was returned to the hallway, facing the library. It worked for the other 2 rooms too! Let me know if this setting works for you!
Hi Crystal,
IT WORKS!!!!
Thank you so much! You are my eLearning hero, woo hoo!

This was the first thing I saw this morning... so thanks, Wendy, for the great day! :) Happy to help!
