.xliff Export issues
Sep 08, 2012
Hello all,
I have been testing the .xliff export capability in Storyline. While export (as a function) works fine, I was informed that translation applications such as "Trados Studio 2009" do not recognise the output, like they normally should.
Has anyone tried any other translation tool that works with .xliff generated files?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Alex

Sorry for the bump, but I'd really like to know if anyone uses XLIFF export to translate/localise , and what tool they use.

Hi Alex!
I wanted to take a minute to ask if you've had a chance to post over in the Building Better Courses section about this. Maybe you can get some additional exposure and possibly some helpful feedback on this topic in that section.
Also, if you do find some additional information, feel free to come back and share it in this thread. I'm sure other community members would appreciate any information you find on this, as well!
Thanks!
Hello all
did you had any info on this?
I have been told by the translation company that the xliff file I provided them from SL2 is "US version" instead of "UK"....never heard of this...
any idea?
thanks
Hi, Julie -- As this thread is somewhat dated, you would be welcome to reach out to Alexandros directly using the 'Contact Me' link on his profile page if you wish. And I see that you asked a similar question over here in this thread, so I just wanted to link the two for anyone following along. :)
Yes, still no idea on this, but it might, or might not, be relevant any longer - the original post was written when SL1 Update1 was the most up to date version.
