When I use 'web object' to insert a youtube video and then publish to my LMS, it comes out looking like the attached image 1 for the default image. Then when I click back, it's gone entirely. Any idea why?
That does seem odd. Have you tested this outside of your LMS? If not, are you able to post the .story file here so I can take a look at the web object and see if I experience the same thing?
Thanks for the file! I took a look, but I'm not running into the issue you mentioned (if I'm understanding it correctly).
I published the content using Articulate Online, you can take a look at it here. I watched the video, moved the seekbar around and moved to the last slide. After viewing the last slide, I went back to the video and it's still playing properly for me.
Can you take a look at my published version and tell me if you see the same thing? If not, what browser are you using to view the content? If so, I'm thinking it may be an issue with either publish settings or the LMS support.
No problem! It's Friday, it's forgivable Thanks for the file. I took a look and I saw exactly the same thing. Just curious, though, when a user is going back to view the video again is it absolutely necessary to have it resume? If not, setting the slide to reset to its initial state seems to fix the problem.
Looks like the thumbnail does the same in both versions.
Ah! I think I found what's causing this.
Look a this published version, it looks much better. I changed the display options for the web object to load automatically. It doesn't start the video automatically, but seems to display better.

Good morning Spencer,

Thanks!
Hi Christine,
Attached is a section of the issue. My LMS is Digital Chalk, if that makes a difference. Thank you so much.

Thanks again, Spencer!
Oops! I sent the wrong file. One sec. So sorry. Who's the clutz? This guy.
Here's the new file. Apologies again.

Here's the published version.
Also attaching the modified file for your review.
Awesome, Thanks! That worked, but what about the default thumbnail? Why is the image of the video getting cut off?
Hi Spencer,
I'm not sure why it's showing like that before you click on the video.
Here's the unmodified version (your last upload).
Looks like the thumbnail does the same in both versions.

Let me know if that works for you
Wonderful! Solved. Thank you so much.
Rock on Spencer, glad to hear it!
I hope you have a great weekend.
Christine
