I am experiencing an issue having to do with the zoom region:
When I preview the animations of a slide, the system zooms all the way into the region specified, but when I preview an entire scene or the project holistically, the system zooms only a fraction of the way toward the full zoom region. The latter issue also occurs when I publish the file.
How may I address this issue? And thank you very much, in advance!
This is happening on all slides with a zoom region.
I would absolutely be willing to share a sample of my file, but being that it contains confidential client information, I'm not certain this is the most secure channel. Is there a different, more private way I could send it to you?
Excellent! I just shared the .story file and a .mp4 documenting the issues in-action. I will assume that we will continue to discuss this issue here (for the benefit of the community).
Thanks for sending over your file, Ryan. I'm definitely seeing how the zoom region is not fully realized when previewing an entire scene, and it appears this issue is related to the Modern Player. The same problem isn't happening when I switched to the Classic Player.
I'm going to get this in front of my team so we can begin looking into a fix. As soon as I hear something more, I'll let you know. Thanks so much for bringing this to our attention, and I'm really sorry for the headaches it's causing you!
Thank you very much for escalating this. Is there an expected time in which I can anticipate a response? I only ask because I need to meet certain deadlines for my team.
I don't have an ETA on a fix at this time, but our team is looking into it now! I'll be sure to keep you updated. You'll receive an email notification as soon as I post any new information since you're now subscribed to this thread.
As promised, we're back to share thatUpdate 27 for Storyline 360 is live: This release includes a fix for the issue with the Modern Player where zoom regions would not zoom in fully and appear slightly off-center.

Hello,
I have similar issues with Storyline 3 : Zoom is perfect while previewing, but nothing happened while publishing. We use a self-made player.
Is there any update for SL3 similar to Update 27 mentioned for SL360
Olivier
Hi Jacob,
We haven't seen any reports for Storyline 3 with this issue, so thanks for chiming in.
All software fixes for Storyline 360 will be included in the next update to Storyline 3.
