Hi Katie - thank you for the reply. I actually wanted the marker to initiate the zoom. So if there are several markers on the resume, when you click on the maker you zoom into that area.
Maybe I need it to be a new layer and not a zoom. I can picture how I want it to behave but I can't design it. :(
I'm excited to help! Zoom regions are controlled by the timeline rather than by a trigger, so I think using a Layer is the best route!
I've created a sample file for you and attached it to this discussion.
I'll explain how I created it in the steps below:
First I added a photo to the base layer.
This photo is what I want the user to zoom in on.
Next, I created two buttons.
Each button will move to a layer.
Afterward, I added two layers.
This is where I will take the image and crop it so it looks like I'm zooming in on one part of the image.
Lastly, add two triggers. One trigger to Show Layer when the user clicks one button, and another trigger to Show Layer when the user clicks the second button.
Thanks Lauren - this was not exactly what I was looking for but between it and me attending a webinar Tom did on animating buttons helped me figure it all out. Thank you so much for your reply

Hi there, Mischelle!
To make sure I'm on the same page, are you asking:
Can you add a marker to a zoom region?
You sure can! Here's a short video guide on how to set that up.
