'Zoom Video' feature?

Apr 18, 2014

Hi, everyone.

I'm familiar with the 'Zoom Region' feature, but am looking for the equivalent to 'Zoom Picture' (or 'Large Picture' in YouTube).

I have videos in a sidebar that I'd like to allow learners to expand if they can't see them clearly. I'd rather not interrupt the text/narrative by using 'Zoom Region.'

Is there any way to do this? I've checked the tutorials and looked at every menu option, but can't find one.

Thanks!

Allan

Hi Allan,

You might need to do it with a second instance of the video, such as adding a link to open the video in a new window and attach that to an image of a zoom button? That way you could allow the user to open it and view it a bit larger without interrupting the other elements on the slide. You'll probably also need to add a trigger to that button to stop the media or pause the media when the user clicks to launch the new video window.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Thanks to you both very much--I appreciate the suggestions!

Ashley, I'll give that approach a try. I like the possibilities.

Curtis, I put your suggestion in play very quickly and worked very well. Thanks for that.

Ideally I'd like to have the small version of the video (or just a screenshot in a video frame) that would open up into a lightbox. That may be asking too much

That I have the videoworking now is a real help.
