2015 Articulate Guru Contest: 3-Step Game Plan
Jun 12, 2015
I know you're psyched about this year's Guru Contest. I know you have a lot of cool ideas to share. But I also know you're worrying that you don't have that one, single, killer project you'd like to submit. That's cool. Here's how you can work with content you already have.
Step 1: Pull together a handful of your favorite interactions
Two years ago, Mike Enders was thinking the same thing. Mike was an active participant in the Storyline beta and built some really schweet, single-slide interactions. By the time the Guru Contest was announced, Mike didn't have time to build out his killer course.
So he corralled his single-slide interactions into one Storyline project. He created an engaging navigation screen and linked to each of his projects.

He earned a Bronze award for his creative work. His approach could work for a lot of users who have interesting demos without a home base course.
Step 2: Remix your interactions to create a sense of unity
Next, you'll want to unify the projects. This is where Trina's recent article on remixing various templates comes in.
Trina shares some super helpful tips and tricks for unifying different a group of unrelated interactions. This is the secret sauce you're looking for!

Step 3: Submit your project
Finally, you need to send us your files by end of June. You can submit your projects here:

Geez - explained like this it seems so simple I might have to actually come up with an entry! Thanks for the ideas, David. :)
How large of a slide size would you need to accommodate all of your challenge entries?
I'm not sure, but I'd definitely need bigger (and more) monitors. :)
With luck I'll be able to find time for an entry, but no matter what it'll be great to see all of the others!
