Is there a preferred 3D tool that developers use with Storyline? (e.g. 3D Studio Max, Unity 3D, etc.). How do 3D animations perform when embedded in SL?
I'd love to see some examples of full 3D animations embedded in SL. If you have experience with 3D animations, please let me know. Or if you know of a great 3D animator, let me know.
Trying to get a better idea of how the two programs will work together.
I've used Adobe Fuse but you should be able to use any 3D software tool to generate your artwork. To insert the artwork in to Storyline you'll only be able to use a sequence of images or a video as to my knowledge Storyline won't be able to read any of the native 3D formats.
I later ended up joining the company that created the demo, this just solved too many of my former problems creating training for a vehicle manufacturer.

Hi Jason,
I've been experimenting with 3D animation in Storyline and have written about my experience to date here: https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/3d-rotation-storyline-2-david-tait

Hi! What type of file extension is the 3D image embedded here? Thanks!
I've also played around with this problem. Check out the results here. We created a demo with the Zea Engine.
Here is a video narration review of the course:
