A quick way to highlight and unhighlight many objects

Apr 22, 2016

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for a work around to save time.

I have a slide that features 16 processes arrayed on the top of the screen that when clicked open a layer that contains the appropriate text definition.

For fewer objects I would take the time to set state statuses to 'selected' with the highlight of choice and then use triggers to reset them back to normal once something else is selected. But there's 16 objects and there will be other projects down the line that will be similar so I'm hoping there's a better way.

I would love to find out there's a trigger that says something like, "If you click on any other selectable object this layer will unhighlight." Or maybe a smart copy function so I could just paste all the triggers in one shot for each object.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Teddy

try creating a button set by highlighting all the objects with selected states > right click and select button state. When you click one it's state will be selected, when you click another, the first object state is returned to normal and the new object is in 'selected' state.

Here is a tutorial about adding button sets

Hope that helps.
