No doubt the search feature on the forums could definitely use a helping hand - we're hoping that the next version of the forums will have a more user-friendly search feature.
In the meantime, you can use http://articusearch.com/ which is a Google search on the Articulate community sites.
To All: Nicola has offered a great solution here. The functionality of the search feature works great for some, works some of the time, and never seems to work for others...and our web team is well aware of this
I find you can get the search function to work by clicking on your name (at the top, underneath "Welcome") and then searching from there. Articusearch works really well too.
What's going on at Articulate! Search feature has been down for months and, while Articusearch works, the Articulate website still shows the search field leading new users to believe it works. You could, at the very least, at text directing folks to articusearch instead of assuming we're going to go to Google search to find out about Articusearch! Also, text and bullets issues remain unresolved after years of forum posts and requests to fix.

Same here even when searching with words that you know should get a return 'Course' 'Build' etc.

Use some key words related to the word you are searching for.
The thing is that it used to work and now you can't search a thing in the forum

Haha, this made me laugh, unintentionally. Didn't know it was that bad, that it can't find a singular word.
Though yeah, use articusearch.com for some results.

I was just wondering if the search field was broken, and figured if it was someone would write a post about it. And lo and behold I see this post.
Glad it was able to help you out Lara
The search box on the forums is still not working, but http://articusearch.com/ works great. Just change the results to sort by date.
That's pretty cool .http://articusearch.com/
As I normally just want to look for content inside the forum, I directly use Google and provide the word to search and the site where to search.
Next example will look for html5 topics
html5 site:community.articulate.com
Thanks Miguel - it's very helpful
http://articusearch.com/ Is Great! I was having this probem also, switched to FF and it seemed to go away though. Now I will just use this!
I have the same issues I am glad to know I am not alone. I thought I was doing something wrong. My searches never net any results.
Glad that this post was able to assist you Leslie. Welcome to E-Learning Heroes
