A Software Simulation using PPT or Articulate only
May 04, 2012
I'm sure there is information somewhere on this, but I can't find it, so I thought I would put this out there and see what I get back.
I'm going to be doing a short software training module and would like to show how to use the screens and then have the user pretend to "do" what I showed them. I don't have any "simulation" software myself right now (i.e. Captivate, etc.).
I know in PPT how to use the hyperlinks and have them click on screen shots and it forwards them along "as if" they were clicking through a program. But what I would like to do is to figure out a way that I could have the user "practice" filling information into a page. So I show them how to enter new employee information onto a page and then I would like them to "try it."
I was thinking about Quizmaker, but I don't think that will work since there are many different fields of information that need to be entered on one page.
I would appreciate any thoughts, ideas or links to other conversations about this if they are out there. Thanks for your help! - Kendra

Hi Kendra,
When you say PPT or Articulate only, are you considering Storyline with the "Articulate only" parameter? Because Storyline can do this. These links may help:
