Add a sound effect to a page transition

Aug 28, 2018

Good afternoon!

I am working on a course that is using transitions between the pages. Is there a way to add a sound effect as a page is transitioning?

There is a way to add before the transition or after but not during. The transition is a non-slide state so cannot have any triggers applied. If you want it before the transition then instead of using a jump to trigger, use  a play audio when the user clicks next button, then add a trigger to the audio to jump to next slide when the audio completes.

To resolve this "problem" I often just create my own motion graphic transitions, so I can add whatever effects I want. Trina Rimmer had some really nice examples of similar transitions a few months ago, and they're easy to make/use. Plus, you can add the look of a transition anywhere you want in the slide (i.e., you can carry over images and characters from the previous slide, and then transition to new content right in the middle of the new slide), which i prefer.
