add to variable with key ?

I would like to allow users to change the variable using keys as well as by moving the dial (for accessibility)...but I can't seem to get the object part of this trigger figured out... can someone help me, please?

I'm not sure if that's exactly what you are looking for, but the attached example shows how to use key presses to "move" a dial.
yes! I found it odd that you couldn't use when the timeline starts. Tripped me up.
