Adding layers to hot spot objects

Apr 26, 2017

I have a screen that uses hot spots to launch several other screens. After the learner views the launched screen and clicks Next they are returned to the hot spot screen to launch the next topic. Once a topic has been reviewed, I want to indicate that on the launch screen by putting a checkmark on the topic. I've tried to do this by adding a layer with a checkmark on it when the user clicks the hotspot, but the layer doesn't appear. I feel certain I should be able to do this, but I'm stumped!

Hi Deb,

There are a couple ways you could do this.

An easy way would be to:

  • Use a buttons for your hotspots with a transparent backgrounds.
  • Click EDIT STATES for each button and update the Visited state by adding a check mark.
  • Then change the Slide Properties to Resume saved state when revisiting.

I have attached an example that should fit your needs. Please don't hesitate to ask if you have any further questions or need more information.

Hope this is helpful!
