I was having a discussion with a colleague about navigation and alternatives to traditional menus and next buttons. This got me thinking about other ways to navigate. I would be interested to hear other peoples thoughts around this. I also thought i would share something i came up with quickly to get your opinions
Hi, Keith: nice graphic here. The remote control could get complicated very quickly. Perhaps you can simplify it, and turn it into a glorified next button? Then again, if it's just a glorified next button, maybe that's an overly complex way to do it.
Maybe a simpler remote -- with just a forward button? Anyway, thanks for sharing.
That was kind of how our conversation went. Then i got to thinking. This could be an interesting way to demo a new piece of tech..maybe a mobile phone or other type of device by allowing users to click on something on the device and have it explained.
On the phone, you might have some basic functions, which you could explain with markers or something similar. Forward, Backward, Go to Menu, Exit, Beam Me Up to Mothership et cetera...
