Announcing New & Improved Member Profiles
Nov 17, 2015
Today we released a complete redesign of the E-Learning Heroes profile pages. The goal was to provide a richer, more engaging layout that puts the member front and center along with a means for showcasing one's portfolio.
The new "Created By" tab includes the content you've created in the community. Discussions are the most typical kind of content members create but increasingly we're featuring articles, e-learning examples, and downloads created by members, not just staff.
Most notably, there's now the ability to showcase the amazing e-learning materials you've created. To feature your courses on your profile, simply:
- Click on the "Add a Course" card on your profile:
- Add the Title, Description, and Image
- Provide the link to the publicly available course
- And click "ADD COURSE"
It's also easier to update your profile information, access your bookmarks, and share profile pages via social media.

Great!!!
Great!
good job!
Cool, cool, cool!
I've heard that idea a couple times. We'll look at it. Thanks for the suggestion!

Not yet Colin but we're watching how the feature is used and will enhance it based on feedback like this. Giving you more control over your own page certainly seems like a smart next step. ;)

Awesome! Thanks Brian.
Nice upgrade!
Fantastic idea, Brian! I'll add more for this week's challenge, but the first one I did was easy to do and looks great. Thank you!!
Think the redesign is fantastic and I would love the ability to reorder and remove items. That would be the best!
Being new to creating and sharing public courses, most of my work is built around financial services, is there a preferred host method for storing courses? i.e., Google Drive, DropBox, etc.
Not really, though I would steer clear of Google Drive. They have announced plans to eliminate support for hosting content such as this sometime next year.
I agree, the ability to easily reorder items would be great!
If you'd like to share your updated profile pages, please add some course examples and post a link to your profile in our recent weekly challenge: https://community.articulate.com/articles/show-your-elearning-work-and-examples
I'll update the recap page to include a screenshot and link to your profile pages: https://community.articulate.com/articles/elearning-designers-share-their-work
Great idea. Thanks,
