My organization is small and our development team is small. We build traditional page-turner eLearning modules, and I am looking to add an application/pull through piece. I am limited on man power so an out of the box solutions is ideal. Early brainstorming: hire a firm to build a cool mobile toolbox app, incorporate more leader guides...
To be more specific here, I am looking for a companion application/game/app to my existing modules. Catalog is about 600 modules and we are looking to add application pieces so our content is more than pretty looking eLearning.
Hi, Devon: What do you want the app to do? Sort of sounds like you want an app to automatically make your page turners more interesting, but you'll most likely need more than an app to do that. Gamification of course can be very effective, but it's more an approach than an add on after the fact.
Yes, I do want an app that would make my page turners more interesting. I recognize the app would have a long design/development cycle.
Gamification is a great approach. I suppose I could create games where learners go through choose your own adventure type environments based off of the page turners. Do you know of any out of the box solutions for gamification? From an efficiency standpoint I have a huge catalog and building 50 games would consume too much time/resources.

Hi, Devon: I suggest searching for "gamification vendors." There are
companies the specialize in taking content and gamifying it. Of course, not
all content is appropropriate for such a treatment and there is a good deal
of work involved. Here's a list of 20 vendors:
