Articulate and reporting in xapi or scorm

Feb 14, 2019

Hi all,

Newbie to the LRS or LMS discussion.

I'm considering the use of the Articulate suite as an aid to developing, deploying, assessing and reporting on the results of training delivered to a remote sales team.  We are moving out of the world of only doing face to face training for our technical and product training, and providing continuing education for our sales team in the field in their workflow.

I'd appreciate any feedback on how you have used Articulate in this way, and what the role of xapi and a record store would be.

We are also wondering how Articulate can dovetail with Salesforce as far as visibility or using Salesforce to launch or manage or report on the results on training.

Thanks

Hii Don,

It's too late for this reply but this would be helpful for other community members.

There could be many other methods or combinations to do this, i'm sharing here what i think could be best for your need.

You can use WordPress to make your website and add any Learning Management System (LMS) plugin to make courses and deploy them. Once you deploy your course you need to track your learners (Employees).

Your LMS will provide you tracking and reporting but it would be very limited. For broad and deep tracking you can integrate your site with LRS (Learning Record Store).

If you do not want LMS, you can directly use Articulate storyline 360 developed courses with WordPress. Just install plugins (GrassBlade xAPI Companion plugin is good for your need).

It will help you in uploading your course on the web. Now connect your plugin with any LRS (GrassBlade LRS is recommended for better results) to track and store your users progress and reports.

Options: WordPress + GrassBlade xAPI Companion + GrassBlade LRS + LMS (Optional)

As xAPI will track user behaviour and activity (Taking Lessons and Quiz) and send it to your Learning Record Store. You can use this data to award certificate and generate reports about progress of your employees.

I have no idea about Salesforce and Articulate Integration. :)
