Articulate restrict user edits, lock course - how?

Jan 07, 2012

Well the situation is such that the course will not be viewed online on a web- browser.

My manager wants me to publish the course and then distribute the course through a jump drive. I am assuming that teh users have to go into the published folder and click the player.html file to launch the course. I don't know if there is any better way to do it.

So now, can I lock the course so its non- editable. Please give me some solutions.

Different issue - I am having hard time editing powerpoint notes TEXT.  I try to edit the texts and some come out fine others are messed up.

How can I edit the powerpoint notes so that its consistent in the articulate notes tab.

Your users will likely not be able to edit the published output. When published, your slide content will be published to individual SWF's. Without significant effort and technical know-how, this isn't a trivial task. And those with the know-how will realize it's less work to recreate a slide than to reverse engineer it.

If you're copying and pasting your notes text, watch the formatting. You can reformat the text in notes using PPT formatting tools. It won't show up in your field within powerpoint, but it will when you publish. Be careful to use the same source settings and when in doubt select all of your note text and set it to the desired formatting.
