Please let me know if it is possible to embed Captivate files in Articulate Studio 13.
When I tried embedding files from an older version of Captivate, there was an error thrown saying that the file had script references to "_root" and hence would function properly in published output. Will this issue persist with a newer version of Captivate?
All of this sounds so left field to me.....I really dont know where to even start. I hope im not in over my head. I dont know how long it will take for me to learn all this....what is the learning curve? What is exactly the best way to begin.....Please advise..
"No, it is not possible to embedd any captivate raw files into an Articulate Studio product."
But there is a possibility to publish material in Adobe Captivate. Here you can create a mp4 file or a html/swf - file - package.
A mp4 file can be inserted quite easy into Articulate Studio, well I should be more precise: Not Articulate Studio, the application you can use is Articulate Presenter. You only have to insert the mp4.
Unfortunately mp4 is not an interactive format. So this is not an option that we can use. But now we do sth. different. We'll publish the content in Captivate as an htm/swf - file. Now you'll take this files and upload the complete folder to your intranet or cloud.
You will get a htm-link which starts the course. Now you'll copy this link. Next step is that you insert a web object. When you are asked to insert a hyperlink, just paste the link you have already copied. If you publish your Presenter course you should see the Captivate-Demo on your Articulate Presenter stage.

Hi Manisha,
generally there are two possibilities which work without problems:
1) Produce a mp4 (then it's non-interactive) and insert it as a normal video.
2) Create your normal Captivate file output. Upload it on your server and then insert it as a web object in Storyline.
These are the best integration action if combining Captivate/Storyline

Hi Peg,
perhaps I can tell it in simple words.
