Articulate Studio for Sale?

Jun 15, 2012

I've just started my first freelance Articulate job and it looks like it might lead to more.  I have Articulate at work but don't want to muddy the waters so I've been working with trial versions at home for now.

Long story short, I need to buy Articulate Studio but this first job won't pay enough to buy the latest version.  Does anyone know how I can buy a used copy with full license?  I don't even know if it works where you can sell/transfer a license but I'd like to find out...

Thanks,

Dale Hargis

Hi Bruce! Section 2.1 of the license agreement says that the Licensor "grants Licensee a nonexclusive, nontransferable, nonsublicenseable right and license to have the User use the Software and Documentation without modification." Also, section 5.1 says that licensor may not "encumber, lease, rent, loan, sublicense, transfer or distribute" the software. There's a bit in Section 9.5 ("Assignment") too:  "...the rights and obligations hereunder are personal to Licensee, and may not be assigned or otherwise transferred, in whole or in part, without Licensor's prior written consent."
