AS2 Next Scene / Previous Scene

Mar 29, 2017

Hi everyone.

I'm relatively new to AS2 and am loving both the product and the support.

A question from a newbie.

I have built a course with several scenes (each scene containing 1 or more slides) with various triggers set as required.

On slide 4.1 (see attached AS2 file)I have created 2  slide triggers.

1. Change the state of the next button to Disabled...Which works exactly as intended.

2. Change the state of the next button to Normal when...Which also works as intended.

I have also created 2 Player triggers

1. Jump to next scene when user clicks the next button. Which works exactly as intended.

2. Jump to previous when user clicks the next button. Which also works exactly as intended.

Here is the problem.

When previewing, the Next button changes to Normal once all markers have reached a state of visited (as by design) and users can click next and progress to the next scene.

If a user clicks the PREV button, they are returned back to Slide 4.1 but are then unable to progress forward again by clicking the NEXT button which appears to be disabled. The NEXT button does not seem to return to a status of Normal the second time around (after clicking all the markers) which is quite confusing.

I'd be very grateful for any assistance (quickly if at all possible) into what I think bust be a relatively simple fix.

Hi Anthony

see updated file.

  • Created a T/F variable default to False called 4_1allVisited
  • Created a trigger to adjust variable to True when state of all markers = visited
  • Created a trigger to change state of Next button to disabled when timeline state on condition that variable is not equal to true.

Hope this helps
