I have a need for audio on PowerPoint slides and this deck will not be built with Presenter. Easy to add the audio to a slide. And it plays fine, ONCE. When that page is revisited during the same presentation, it doesn't play again.
Is there a setting or trick to have the audio re-play every time a slide is visited during the same presentation (in Slide Show mode)?
Powerpoint only plays animations and audio when you advance forward onto a slide. If you go back 2 slides and then forward again the audio would play. This has been an issue for me in the past, I found this article useful, it has a macro that resets the slide which might help you.
