Audio quality sounds horrible when Published!

Our church is starting a new website and we have recently starting recording audio so that it can be played at the website.

When I am previewing the changes in wordpress and checking how the audio sounds it sounds great!! All the reverb and effects sound flawless so i then proceed to publish it.(I also link the audio file to the post)

But, once published I playback the audio and it the reverb and effects ARE GONE! The quality is degraded by like 50% percent. The worst part is that all the time spent editing the audio really makes no difference since it'll be changed anyways.

For reference I am not using an audio related plugin just uploading and posting media.

any help with this would be IMMENSELY appreciated!
