Awarding points after try again layer shown
Nov 04, 2016
Hello
I have built a software simulator using the screen record feature and test slides.
Here's how I'd like it to work:
If the user clicks on the incorrect hotspot, the try again layer appears and gives them a hint. They can then try again - but crucially I don't want them to score the point if the try again hint had to be shown.
So points if they can do it first time, no points if they can't.
I could use the Incorrect layer to ensure they don't get points, but it then skips onto the next slide without the user getting to experience clicking on the correct part of the slide.
Is there a way to have unlimited attempts, but record no score if the try again is accessed whilst ensuring they actually act out the whole simulation?
Thanks in advance!

If they don't get points after the first try, seems more like a "review test" event than a points awarded for answering.
By default, What you want to do is what Storyline does (see below):
With unlimited attempts, it awards points that you can set (0 as default for incorrect attempts).
Just run through the course
it's still rewarding points when I get a question right on the second attempt, which i don't want it to
