Balancing visual design in narrated learning

I have a passion for using narration effectively in online learning. So often, it can be an 'after-thought' - but what is being said and what is seen on screen should compliment, not clash.

I have been using an awesome resource for simply ages in our capability training sessions to show how to balance the words and images to the greatest effect. The original resource used the explanation of cell towers and I got it from this community years ago! However, as it is in Flash, we thought we'd update it using Articulate Rise and Adobe for the animation.

Here is our version. It's a free resource so feel free to use and share it widley. It may help you to demonstrate how the engagement and retention of learning can potentially change depending on the extent to which your images are overlaid with text message.
