Behaviour of slide navigation controls when revisiting question slides

Jul 06, 2016

I am having trouble getting my slide navigation controls to behave in a certain way.

I am using custom next and previous buttons and have therefore disabled the next and previous buttons on my slide navigation controls. I don't want these to appear on any of my slides at all:

The problem comes in with the review of question slides. If complete a question and I make a selection on my question slide and submit my answer, the feedback slide would look like this (note, no previous and next buttons):

If I click continue to go to the next question and then I decide I want to back to this question, the next and previous buttons appear on my navigation bar, how do I get rid of these?

Hi Sunet,

When learners review a quiz (or revisit question slides they've already submitted), they'll see Articulate Storyline's built-in Prev and Next buttons in the lower right corner of the player—even if you've disabled them throughout your course. These navigation buttons are necessary for learners to review quiz slides.

If you'd like to have an option to disable the Prev and Next buttons during quiz review so you can use your own custom navigation buttons, please let us know.

I have seen users in the forums discuss removing all player controls completely to stop the pre/next buttons from appearing - but that is not the designed behavior, so the results are inconsistent from author to author. If you choose to go that route you'll want to fully test it before releasing to your users.
