Most people appear to use red text to focus attention on a particular word or phrase.
I work in an environment which is technical and predominantly male and I am looking for an alternative to red because red is the colour that most colour blind people cannot see. (L and S cones either missing or reduced).
I think you could use just about any color as long as it contrasts with the rest of the slide. Another option would be to bold your text or increase it's size to make it stand out.
Hey there! I would totally agree with Allison! If it helps, I might also suggest that you do some researching into "CTAs" or "Calls to Action" as they are called in the marketing world. You might find some good inspiration from there. Here's a good article to get you started...

Hi Cameron,

I hope that helps!
