I am in the process of authoring my very first eLearning module to train volunteer nurses at a free health clinic. I am using the Articulate Studio 13 software. Of course, since it is a free clinic, there is scant to no budget for a LMS. I hope to obtain grant funding in the future. However, in the meantime, I still do need to measure and track the training completed by the learners.
Are there free LMS options for courses authored with Articulate software?
I work in a non-profit child serving agency, I use Moodle. It's definitely got some quirkiness to it, but it is an open source (i.e. free) package and my articulate projects work well with it. I'm not on their payroll (so, no commission on this recommendation), but it meets our needs fairly well and you can track completion, allow users to start and then pick up from where they left off if they have to leave before finishing. It's not a bad product and it is free. Try them and if you don't like it, you haven't lost anything. Good luck!!
Suzie I work for a non-profit team at a major hospital, and we use CourseSites. It is a Blackboard product, and it is entirely free. It's working great for us.
Thank you for responding, Matt. I did look into Moodle but wondered if it was more than I could accomplish as a novice. Now, I will definitely revisit Moodle.

Hi Suzie,
I could offer you limited help on my LMS. How many learners would you have? Could you email me directly?
I don't know how up to date this list is, but here is a list of free LMS options.
Thank you.

CourseSites seems to have everything that I might need. The catch for me might be that courses can only be exported to other BlackBoard systems.
Stupid question here: Do you have to build your courses inside of the CourseSites LMS? Or can I use the Studio 13 software?
I don't doubt that I sound like a total newbie. :0)
Thanks for the help. It is much appreciated.
