I'm a gamer, and I tend to look for higher end specs. That helps with my non-gamer applications, such as when I'm working in Storyline :)
That being said, SL360's minimum specs are significantly less than this. But that is just to run their program. Increasing specs will reduce loading and publishing times. And, if you are working in other programs such as the adobe photoshop or illustrator, then the added guts will definitely help you.

For my work, i'm currently using
http://store.hp.com/us/en/pdp/hp-elitebook-850-g3-notebook-pc-(energy-star)-p-v1h18ut-aba--1
but with 16 GB or RAM, 512 SSD and an i7 6600 processor.
I have three monitors hooked up to it when I'm docked at my desk.
If I were buying today, and I had an admin who was generous, then I'd go this route:

I would bump up the RAM to 16GB and add a 256 GB SSD hard drive to it.
You could easily use this, right off the shelf, with no mods:

Hey Sam!
Just in case it's helpful, here's a link to the Storyline 360 System Requirements for authoring and viewing content.
