Just want to say a big thank you to my fellow challengees in David’s weekly challenges. Between 2015-2018 I must have completed over 100 of them and in the process learnt so much by studying the techniques and ideas of that group of us who contributed regularly. I have just won two Comenius Edu-Media Awards from the GPI Foundation. Both my pieces had their origin in the challenges and neither would have seen light of day without them. So again, a big thank you to David and my fellow challengees!
Wahoo! Congratulations, Nick. Your examples have been some of the most engaging (and often humorous) demos we've seen anywhere. Congrats on a well-deserved award.
Thank you so much for your kind words David. They mean a lot to me. I can well remember my first challenge submission; a children’s crossword. I was pretty insecure and nervous about exhibiting my work to a wide audience of Articulate professionals. I remember getting some encouraging feedback from Jackie van Nice who started doing the Challenges around the same time as me. This contact to fellow professionals like Jackie was always very precious to me. But I also learned a lot about the skills I lacked by studying their submissions and most importantly, I benefited hugely from the creative cross-pollination that abounds in your unique forum. My professional development is almost entirely due to my participation in the challenges and for that I am eternally grateful.
Many thanks Phil. You are one of the guys who inspired me. The breathtaking beauty of your work and meticulous attention to detail always spur me on to try and do better.
