Branced Scenario Navigation Help

Hi all,

I have a situation here. I have created a scenario where you need to click on 6 students on a slide one at time.

However, there is no order as to which to click first or last. How do I branch it so that even if someone click the last one they finish clicking through all the students before they go to next slide and out of the scenario. I don't want someone to miss a few students. Also, is there a way to grey out the ones they have clicked.

I am attaching the ppt so that it gives you a better idea. Slide 21 where it starts, slide 34 is the last one . I want them to complete all the slides between 21 - 34 before moving on to slide 35.

Sid- I posted a similar question a while ago. I got a lot of great suggestions that would get me exactly what I wanted IF I knew Flash or had a Flash developer at my disposal. I had neither. Originally I also wanted each item to gray out after being viewed but I came to the conclusion that for my project that fell under the "would be really nice, but not completely necessary" category. The simplest solution I came up with was

1. to have Menu 1 that included animation and audio instructions to view all topics (click and explore each menu item) before proceeding.

2. Once they clicked any image on that menu it would take them thru that section and end with a static version of the menu. Menu 2. It was identical except there were no animation and the audio said "click the next topic to explore".  At the bottom of the screen I added something to the effect of "Click continue after all topics have been viewed" and added a continue button 

Every image/topic ended by branching to Menu 2. The learner broke out of that loop by clicking the continue button. Once they clicked Continue, the next slide included a stop sign and a reminder to be sure they have viewed all 6 topics before proceeding. Click back to return to the menu and select another topic (linking and branching back to Menu 2). If they stayed, there was a brief summary to help the learners verify if they had viewed all of the topics and then course continued linearly. 

Yes I had to relinquish some control and give the learner the choice of whether or not they would actually view each topic. I sold the idea by presenting the time and resources that would be necessary to achieve my initial plan (which was pretty much the same as yours) and the reality that if our learners truly want to, they can skip the whole training and go straight to the post test anyway. Ultimately, it bummed me out to sacrifice the original, more complex design plan. However, this simple solution still achieved the overall effect and everyone was happy with the result. It was a good learning experience for me because I could have spent all that time trying to follow my original plan and my stakeholder wouldn't have really cared either way. After that I stuck a post it on my wall that says K.I.S.S.

I just created something similar for a course.  I had 8 stories that needed to be reviewed by the learner, but we wanted to give them the flexibility of choosing the order as each one was not dependent on the other.  I  included instructions on the first slide that indicated they should review all 8.  On the screen for the last story, I added a button marked "next topic".  I also set the branching navigation so that if someone didn't click on the characters on the screen and used the Articulate player controls, it would advance from one story to the next.

I used the first slide to introduce the characters, then created a second slide with their heads and name and moved to the bottom of the screen with a black box as a background.  Save the headshot and text together and create a .png image.  Once you have them all created, just make a hyperlink to the appropriate slide.

I created a mock up using your slides so you could see if it would work for you.
