Building Interactive Survey with results exported in Word?

Dec 10, 2012

I am new to Storyline.   We do individual evaluations in paper format currently and there is room for error especially when adding up the evaluated answers (0 being skill not developed to 10 exeptional skill developed).

Is there a way to use the survey questions / results and variables to create an evaluation form (similar to a survey) and have the results exported into word or similar format for printing.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Murray, are you aware of the Print Results option on the result slide? This adds a button to the result slide which allows learners to click to view an html page that summarizes their questions & answers and results. They can then use their browser's print button to print the report.

If you're instead looking for a way for you as the administrator of the course to collect results and tabulate/report them, you would need to use a SCORM- or AICC compliant Learning Management System (LMS), or Articulate Online. When you deploy your content from either of these, you would be able to then collect and report data on your users' progress and performance.

Hi Murray-

That specific reporting functionality does not exist in Articulate Online. Probably the closest thing to what you'd want to do would be to manually invite your users (that is, get the link to the course and send the email yourself), then run a custom activity report that includes users without attempts for the group in question.

Hope this helps.
