Does anyone know of a way of calculating CEUs for eLearning courses?
I've always been in the understanding CEU hours are based on "student contact hours." The actual amount of hours spent in learning activities over the period of a day of training.
Any idea how to estimate this for eLearning since a student can pace themselves, jump around, skip sections, repeat section etc?
Each state has different regs. When I've built out courses in the past, students couldn't skip around, repeat or jump ahead. There's a formula listed for calculating CEUs on the NAIC site.
Beware: It takes alot of screen to do a CE course... the DOIs are way behind the times. They calc by word count not by screen.
