Calling all K-12 online and blended learning instructors

Nov 20, 2011

Every day more and more K-12 online and blended learning courses are being offered around the world. There are projections that by 2019 as many as 50% of U.S.A. high school classes will  be offered online.  Those of us who teach online/blended classes know that there are major differences from teaching in face-to–face instructional settings. It is time to share our experiences, knowledge, and ideas about effective practice with our global colleagues.

Please consider assisting in the development of a resource to help new and experienced K-12 teachers provide the best online and blended learning experiences for their students.

Share your effective and proven online and blended teaching and learning practices for an upcoming book by filling out this survey: bit.ly/K12Online

Be part of a project that could have an incredible impact on the quality of online and blended education around the world.

See you all online!

Wow, that's really cool.  I have been doing Blended education and find it to be very personal.

We try to become more wireless and find there is a lot of human interaction in making an online curriculum.  We're always improving.  We believe there is a new paradigm in private education.  I work to provide accessible tutoring to people whose kids need practice and cannot afford a mentor. My own mentor has written a well-regarded supplemental book for Algebra I and II called Using calculators and computers.  While technology works in the classroom to engage his students in excellence in education, technology is ever-evolving.  Our model reflects this growth in new and exciting ways.

Hi Cheri,

I'm wondering how your project is going and how I can keep in touch with your work in K-12. I'm a writer of secondary textbook in English and Drama and I'm using Storyline to re-purpose my work.  I'm starting to post my stuff on

www.fantasticlearningsystems.com  but I as I'm of that generation that finds 'beta' so difficult to through myself into.... I won't tell you how many time I re-wrote my doctorate before submitting it.

But just putting stuff online is really humbling, isn't it - you have to face up to every typo and worse.

In any case I really interested in what you think of my 'Digital Dramaturge' methodology as I unfold it
