I was wondering if anyone had tried to build a carousel interaction in PowerPoint? I have a range of scenarios that the learner needs to work through and I thought this would be a neat way of creating the menu of scenarios.
Hi Nikki, and welcome! Do you have Articulate Engage? If so, there's a cool community interaction (which is free) that offers a really nice carousel effect. You could create your carousel in Engage and then add the interaction to your Presenter course. You can find it here: http://community.articulate.com/downloads/p/787.aspx
If you are looking at using strictly PowerPoint, here's another idea from Stephanie Harnett that you might like to try: https://player.vimeo.com/video/149174033 Even though it's not technically a carousel, it does have a neat dynamic effect that allows learners to click and explore a series of items.
The carousel interaction that you're referencing will not work with Engage '13, as community interactions are not supported in the new version. Check out this support page that explains more about this issue.
That being said, many new interactions were introduced in Engage '13 so I'm sure you can find a different one that suits your needs.
If you provide me with more information about what you're trying to achieve, I can maybe point you in the right direction.
I think the one that most resembles the carousel interaction would be the Media Panel (click for example). Here is a list of all the interactions in Engage '13, with links to examples. I would suggest having a look at them and seeing which one best suits your needs.
The great thing about Engage is that each interaction is basically it's own template, all you have to do is add in your text and images and voilà!
Let me know if I can help you with anything else. :)

Hi Jeanette
Thank you very much. I love the scrolling interaction
Lynda.com has an interesting set of tutorials on setting up the Carousel interaction using Jquery and Dreamweaver.
Here is the link:

Is there a version of this for Storyline 1 or 2?
