Change state of an object in one slide when another slide is visited / possible?

Nov 13, 2016

Hi, I'm still using SL1
I want to make a short presentation of a course. I downloaded one of your free templates.
I have a first slide showing how the course is structured and for each chapter (3 in total) I show an introduction, a content list, an example slide and an exercise.

Each objects has a "visited" state. So when an object is visited by clicking, no problem.

But I don't want the visitor to always get back to the agenda to click on the next slide. By adding a "next" button it is now possible to jump directly for each chapter from introduction to content to example slide and exercice.

After exercice, the visitor comes back to the agenda to watch chapter 2, but in this case only the first object introduction of chapter one is shown as "visited".

Is there a possibility to change as well the state of the other objects (content, ...) when they have been visited without clicking on the objects in the agenda?

Thank you for your help.

You could set up a TrueFalse variable for each topic/section that start out as false. At the end of each topic/section the applicable variable is set to true. On the menu slide add triggers that change the state of buttonxyz to Visited when the timeline starts if variable xyz is true. make sure the slide properties are set to Reset to initial state.
