I have a project with multiple scenes. I am changing the value of a variable to true when the user clicks a hotspot. I have the state of a rectangle in another scene set to change when the variable value equals true. It's not working as expected. The states are not changing. In some cases the rectangles disappear. Does anyone have any experience with this? If so, please share your experience.
After more testing, it seems to work only when the scene that triggers the variable change is accessed from the slide with the rectangles. Is this normal behavior?
sorry I missed your reply. I think the disappearing could be because you are using 'selected ' state and there may be a button set switched on which means only one of the objects can be in a selected state at anytime. Just guessing - can you share the file?
Could it be that 'Selected' is a generic state, the object will change to 'Selected' once it has been clicked on, regardless of triggers placed on it? You might have more luck creating a custome state called, say, 'Section Complete' and triggering this state once the variable changes to 'whatever'.

Hi Daphne
Your don't say what triggers you have so - on the slide with the rectangle is the trigger
change state of rectangle to (whatever the state is you want) when timeline starts on that slide on condition variable x = true?
that should work as long as the trigger setting the variable to true is working on the previous slide
Hi Wendy!
Thanks for responding. My variables are set as stated above. See the attachment.
Do you know what else could be causing the problem?
