Click based Quiz Results

Hi all!
Is there any way to include number of clicks in quiz results? I'm inserting a simulation into a course and say it should only take 8 clicks to get through it, but the user clicks 16 times to figure it out, is there a way to prompt a failed quiz result?
I've inserted a "failed" layer, triggered by my numeric variable, to appear at the end of the simulation if a user has clicked more than 10 times. But then my quiz layer will appear immediately after, giving me passing results.
Any ideas of what I could do to include these click results in the quiz?
Thanks!

Hi Carrie,
It may be easier for other users to assist if you're able to post your .story file here so that they can see what you've got set up. You can include it using the "Add attachments" button and that way people can play with your file and set up to offer help.
Hi Ashley!
Knowing I had to build a software simulation here in the near future, I actually just built a test simulation .story by following along with the tutorial on your community site. I just took the tutorial a step further by continuing to play around by adding a quiz and my numeric variables to track clicks. Needless to say, I never saved the file because it was a practice (bummer), but decided I needed to figure out if there was a way to connect the two (variable & quiz results) since I think it'd be beneficial to utilize for this particular simulation!
I'm able to show the number of clicks a user took on the results slide simply by inserting a text box with the variable reference, but because I can't get the quiz to pass or fail someone based on the number of clicks they take, it does me no good! Not sure there is a solution for this or not....
I appreciate your help though!
Hi Carrie,
Is that the only requirement to passing? You could look at using the variable value to adjust the state of a one question quiz - and pass the results of that to your results slide. It would be the only item tracked, and therefore just a pass/fail type of result.
What this would look like is:
It's kind of based on this type of set up - just that you're setting the "selection" based on another variable.
