I have an exit button to close the course. This isn't an LMS package, but a web package running from dropbox. Is there a way to close the window when they click this button?
I've used this code (attached to the exit button) to close the browser window. Set it up to execute javascript when the button is clicked, and in the javascript window type:
Are you loading the course into a LMS? My LMS launches the module in a new window, so I'm able to then close the window. I'm not sure if it will work when launching direct. Sorry.

Hi Kai,

window.close();
Give that a try.
Thanks Lisa! I will give it a try. Will let you know how it goes. So simple, but yet so elusive.
Hmmm...Tried to code above, but it still doesn't close the window. Tried in Firefox, Chrome and Safari.
Not familiar with java script, but I have a feeling thee should be more code to accompany this close window. Am I missing something?
Here is the button with the javascript.
