Company Template Question

Feb 12, 2021

Do you use a company standard(branded) template when designing elearning in Storyline? What does it include- title slide, color pallet? Is it OK to use colors in the same family? What colors are good for elearning?

I've created/recreated the template for every company I've worked for. It has a few standard slides: title, objectives, quiz, conclusion and several content layouts. It has the company fonts and colour pallet set up. I also made an interaction bank which has various interactions I've used in courses so they can be edited and slotted into new courses. I use it more as a style guide than a strict template. I don't want every course to look exactly the same but they do need to have unity. For colours I use our brand colours as much as I can but bright colours are only used as a features. A solid background of a bright colour can be a bit intense so I do adjust them slightly for background. I also add a subtle texture to backgrounds, or just use an image. It really helps if you have a background in graphic design.
