Converting Moodle courses to SCORM or HTML

Oct 06, 2015

Does anyone know if a Moodle course can be exported as something else, whether HTML or SCORM?

Is there software that can actually open a Moodle course and then maybe save it as something else?

Moodle has too many options to be exported as SCORM. You could have discussions, file upload assignments, lessons, quizzes, pages, etc, Much of that would be lost in an export to SCORM. This was proposed years ago, and they decided not to pursue it, as you can read in the discussion here.

You can export quizzes to other formats that are usable elsewhere.

You can export as IMS to load into another LMS that can understand IMS cartridges.

If you want it in SCORM format, you pretty much have to rebuild it manually and adapt the parts that won't work in SCORM. What tools are you currently using in Moodle? That will determine how easy or hard it will be to convert.
