Course design idea - Large interactive infographic

I am going to try building this for a future course coming up (I am making an information course on our Employment Process - from applicant to new hire) and I think this might be a fun way of doing it.
I love infographics - I frequently use this site (http://visual.ly/) as a source of inspiration in my courses, and I was thinking how could I build an actual infographic that could be informative and fit into a 540x720 frame. It came to me - Zoom Regions
Here is the plan for the course:
- Create an infographic - do not know what the actual size will be.
- Create several layers that will overlay information
- Use Zoom Regions to navigate around the graphic.
Thinking something along the lines of a giant treasure map with a lot of key points...
thoughts?

Hi Eric,
I think that's a great idea. I recently wrote a blog post entitled, "Bringing Infographics to Life with Storyline". See post and example below:
Hope this helps!
That's a lovely demo, I'm really jealous!!!! Thats how I would like my induction course to look. (Goes off in a thoughtful way....)
@Rapid e-Learning - That cloud course looks absolutely great. You captured the info graphic style and tone really well. I'm about to make a short presentation with a similar tone to this, so I may steal a few of these ideas!
That is a great looking demo, thanks for sharing!
Lovely ideas brought to life beautifully.
Well done.
Bruce
Thanks everyone for the kind words
Thanks!
That is exactly what I was looking for - I was going to do something very 'Phil' and try to do it all on one slide. (Periodic table...) Using Zoom Regions, layers and lightboxes. I think I may need a larger whiteboard to sketch this one out :/
Wow!! I had a thought about this two days ago (Infographics + Storyline = wow), now i see this in a demo ...fab!
Thanks for sharing @Rapid ElearningTemplates
No problem Eric/Sandeep! Eric, I'd love to see your project after you complete it
That demo is awesome! Super clean and modern looking. I love the intro and exit animations.
Thanks Nicole
I love this - was wondering what fonts you used? They come across nice and clean.
Hi Nancy,
The fonts are actually from the infographic that I used. 90% of the text is just the same exact text that I pulled (as images) from the infographic, so it's not actually anything I typed. The only non-image font that I used in my demo is the Articulate font.
Ah thanks, I was wondering how you managed it. Thanks.
@Troy,
Could you repost the demo and the website? I can't access them!
Hi Katie! Sorry about that, I updated my blog since I last wrote that post and all of my links seems to have been broken. The links above should work now. If not, let me know!
Thanks Troy!
Very slick Troy!
@Katie, no problem!
@Linda, thanks! Pretty cool what Storyline will let you build. This project is fairly old now too. I may take a shot at making an updated version so I can take advantage of the new animations in Storyline 2.
