"Create Your Own Course" Question
Nov 25, 2015
Hello,
I have a question regarding setting up a course with current templates; so that we don't have to recreate them. We have a client that has four different topics. The client wants the learner to be able to select (mix and match, if you will) all the topics they want to learn about from the list of four. Then after viewing each of the selected topics, they will have to take an assessment for each.
So for example, if I were to take the course, I'd select that I want to view Topics A and D. The client needs it to be set up so that you select the topics you are interested before viewing them. So it's like you're given a list of topics and you are kind of 'building your own course' within the course, before it starts -- if that makes sense.
Is there a way to set this up in one course?
What would be the best way to do this kind of course?
Also, we would be using Studio '09 to do this.
Thanks!

Not sure if it's an option for you/your client but I'd suggest building the four topics independently and letting the user choose the ones they want to view from a seperate menu page, e.g. a web page that has four links on it or a course library in your LMS if you're using one.
Thanks for the input. That was one of my thoughts as well, so I'll be sure to bring up that idea! :)
