Creating a Start page for the course
Sep 19, 2013
Hello all, I have been lurking for quite some time now. You are all so encouraging and have been unknowingly mentoring me for at least six months. Thanks!
There was a recent post, which I could not find, about having a "start" page at the very beginning of a course. Basically at the beginning of the timeline on the first slide a layer is revealed with a start button on it. When the student is ready to start, they click the button, the layers is hidden and off go.
I thought this was a great idea, and then I thought it might be a good opportunity to make some suggestions on taking an eLearning course in general. So I made this:
I thought I'd pass it along :)
Also, if you have any suggestions on something i may have missed, please let me know.
Thanks again everyone.

Wendy,
what an amazing idea! These suggestions are generally common in no matter what eLearning courses. I really like the instruction where it requires participants to complete in an interrupted fashion. I think it is critical because when it comes to large courses, starting all over again will really discourage participants' interest in taking the course again.
At present, I really can't think of anything you missed in here.
Regards,
Cheng
