Hi everyone! I"m brainstorming ideas for teaching commission to our sales team. Any suggestions on a creative and fun approach to this? Does anyone know of any examples online I can check out???
The sales rep portion of the Sales Training course (http://articulate.demos.s3.amazonaws.com/sales_orientation/story.html) in the Storyline Showcase might give you some inspiration. I definitely think that putting the learner in a virtual sales meeting and having realistic consequences regarding if they get the commission or not and why. Have the entire process play out.
I've never created a course or taught on the subject of commission; however, I once had to create a course explaining the subject of "inventory shortage" within a retail enviroment. I basically explained what inventory shortage was, how it occurs (theft), and how the inventory shortage % is calculated.
See the visuals below. After explaining what inventory shortage was (image one), I took them through the calculations (images one and two).
