Cue Points (I've searched) SL2

Sep 26, 2017

At the moment I have a linier course built with no back buttons.  I’m using a custom button to move throughout the course on each slide.  Now I’ve been asked to have a back button …. Great, just great!

I’ve stacked say slide one into slide two for 1 sec using the “flyout” method, then slide 2 slides in.  Kinda this fake’e After Effects look, cool transitional thing’e that flows well in the course.  (I’m grabbing for lingo here)

Now instead of rebuilding this whole thing I’m hoping I can set a “cue point”at the one sec mark on lets say slide 2. (where my slide 1 animation slide-out ends)and if I’m on slide 3 and I click on the back button it will take me to that 1 sec cue point on slide two.  Can this be done before I get started?J

<A much simpler version would be… can I place a cue point on slide 1 and click on a button on slide 2 and go to that cue point on slide 1?>

You could do this IF you had a T/F variable set up for each slide to track if it had been visited or not. (Default value would be false.) Then add 2 actions on each slide:
1) on enter, jump to quepoint if visited = true
2) on exit, adjust visited to = true.

I read other forum threads on jumping to specific cue points (e.g. https://community.articulate.com/discussions/articulate-storyline/jumping-positions-to-cue-point) and they all seem to end with suggestions to 'submit feature requests'... since these threads were from like 4 years ago, I'm now wondering if this feature is now available (and hidden somewhere that's not obvious to me).
