I am extremely new o Articulate and I'm building a sample class to help me learn what I can do with this program. I added three videos on three different slide last Friday. I had all three swirl in as their entrance. Now it's Monday, I had to replace one of the videos, and I can't figure out how I animated the video entrance. Can someone please save me? Thanks Theressia
Simply select your video object, and choose the "Animation" tab from the ribbon at the top of the Storyline application. From the drop down on the far-left of the ribbon choose the type of animation you'd like. That should be it... let me know if this works out for you!
I am definitely clicking the video on the slide and it's definitely grayed out. Any more ideas? I'm totally perplexed here and I REALLY appreciate your help.
Owen, thank you for asking. I am using Studio '13 (sorry I didn't mention this before). And, great idea. Used Replay to show you what I'm doing (see attached).
Thanks for sharing the video, good idea to record it in Replay! I checked it out and investigated a bit further...
You can apply an animation effect to a video inserted in Storyline, (which is what I originally thought you were using, my apologies!) however the functionality of adding an animation to a video that is inserted using the "Insert Video" option on the Articulate Tab is not available in Articulate Presenter. I'm not sure why you were able to add those first three animations... thinking *maybe* it has something to do with inserting your video using the "Video" feature available in the Powerpoint Insert tab, instead of the Video insert feature on the Articulate tab. However, I don't know if it will work and output as desired if you do it that way.

Hi Nicole,
I tried that but the Add Effect drop down in Custom Animation is grayed out and I can't figure out why. Any ideas?
You need to physically click the video on the slide to ensure that it is selected before clicking the animation tab.
When it is greyed out you usually do not have a video or object selected - click the video then select the animation tab and check the far left again.
Let me know how you get on.

Thanks!
Can you record a screenr or take some screen shots to show us what is happening?
Therresia,
Could you please, first of all clarify something...
When you say you are "using Articulate", is it Storyline or Studio '09, or Studio '13?
Thanks

Here's a link to our tutorial page about adding videos in Presenter '13: http://community.articulate.com/tutorials/products/adding-and-editing-videos.aspx
Hope this helps...
