DYK: Basic tips everyone in the world should know

Nov 09, 2011

Had a great time showcasing Studio and Storyline at DevLearn last week. One of the things that always comes up during demos is around simple techniques that we take for granted and assume everyone knows.  That's because the tools are the easy part; the challenge is learning all the nuanced ways to work with the tools.

So let's have it. Throw out the most basic tips you think everyone should know. Chances are we'll all learn at least one new tip.

My tip: Text on shapes

To add text to a shape, select the shape and begin typing. There's no need to add a new text box over the shape and group the two. Typing text on the shape reduces object count and over time will decrease publishing times.
